Dear Students,

The ORY100 Introduction to University Life Course for the Spring Semester of the 2025-2026 Academic Year will be conducted on the OYS (Learning Management System) between February 14-17, 2026.

The ORY100 Introduction to University Life Course is different from all other courses that are part of the required curriculum for all students. It includes the introduction of the academic, social, and cultural opportunities that Başkent University provides and that you, our valued students, will benefit from during your education, as well as the content of your adaptation process. The course includes 5 seminars. The letter grade for the course will be determined by completing these 5 seminars through the via OYS between February 14-17, 2026.

The ORY100 Introduction to University Life Course is a compulsory 1-credit course that all students must take. It affects the overall grade point average, and a passing grade must be obtained for graduation.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE COURSE

1.February 09-13, 2026 - During course registration on Başkent University Student Information System (BUOBS), a section corresponding to the faculty/vocational school must be selected for the ORY100 Introduction to University Life course.

2. February 14-17, 2026 - Students must register for the Spring 2025-26 semester under ORY100-Introduction to University Life Courses in the common courses section on OYS.

Access to the seminar via video must be made through Microsoft Teams by clicking the seminar link. Access is only possible with your Microsoft Teams account with the studentino@baskent.edu.tr extension; please check your account.

Video access issues are usually caused by the settings of your mobile device or computer, please check them.

 Seminar videos must be watched without skipping to be considered complete. Information regarding attendance will be announced in April. This course is a one-semester course. Students who have received a passing grade should not take the same coded course offered in other semesters.
